LR Baggs Align Series Active DI

As a guitarist, I shift my focus from acoustic to electric about 10 years ago. However, when I started out playing acoustic live, A DI was a piece of sound equipment. It was something that let you run into the mains. Plugging straight into the mains was terrible. You have no control. LR Baggs straddled the line between Sound equipment and Guitar gear. It served a function and let you tweak. They did it so well that many people have been using their DI for decades. Now they've updated their transformative DI. With Through/Out, Ground Lift, Pad, and Phase Inversion the Active DI does about everything you can ask from a DI box.

LR Baggs Align Series Equalizer

LR Baggs is probably best known for their Para Acoustic EQ. There was a time that nearly every series acoustic guitarist had this tool in the toolbox. Now they plan to release a more streamlined, pedalboard-friendly version of that Equalizer. Volume and Notch controls up top and a six-band EQ section (plus a high pass filter, Phase inverter, and 6db cut/boost) make this a serious Equalizer pedal. With a notch feature to hunt down troublesome feedback issues, then pedal looks to be aimed at the acoustic market. With its elegant styling though, it wouldn't be feel out-of-place next to a Stratovarius. This is a serious Equalizer, prepare to see a serious price tag.

LR Baggs Align Series Reverb

New LR Baggs is the standalone Align Series Reverb. Details are limited, but the front feature four simple controls: Volume, Tone, Reverb, and Decay. This pedal looks like an elegant design fitted to a simple interface. Real, dark wood dresses the enclosure making the whole package look premium. I expect the sounds to easily compliment acoustic guitarist in addition to many other acoustic instruments. Electric players may want a little more out of their reverbs. Expect a premium price when this pedal comes to market.

LR Baggs Aligns Series Sessions Overdrive

LR Baggs is known for their pre-amps and pickups, but they are looking to expand their product line with a series of effect pedals. The Sessions Overdrive offers Volume, Gain, Saturation, and Comp EQ controls. Out of the four pedals looking to be released soon, the Sessions Overdrive is the only one that looks like it might be geared towards electric guitar players. However bass and acoustic players may like the subtlety and control over the gain that this pedal offers. Little else is known about this pedal currently. The enclosure looks to be made partly from wood. That and other premium feature suggest these pedals are going to be asking top-shelf prices.
